Natchez

Rubus spp. 'Arapaho'
Enjoy huge, luscious blackberries on easy to grow, thornless canes early to mid-summer. These berries are big! On average berries weigh 8-9 grams a piece! It only takes 3 or 4 to make an ounce! Every year new canes form and grow fruit the following season. Once the two-year-old canes produce berries they will not fruit again, and the branch needs to be pruned. These canes are thornless, making the berries easy to pick. Natchez thrives in the heat of summer and is tolerant of cold weather. They have a high sugar content and are delicious straight off the cane or in your favorite jelly, jams or pie recipe. Hardy Zones 5-9.
