Thymus vulgaris
This fragrant herb has slender, upright growing stems that are covered in small, delicate leaves. It is incredibly fragrant with a classic Thyme aroma and flavor. It is perfect for seasoning fish, poultry, pork, sauces or soups. The small leaves are ideal for flavoring vinegars. You can extend your season by bringing the plant inside before first frost or by drying the leaves. Hardy in zones 5-9.
