Thymus vulgaris
A beautiful, creeping perennial herb that has a strong spicy orange fragrance. The needle shaped evergreen type leaves are topped by lots of lavender-pink flowers that bloom from early to mid summer. Spicy Orange Thyme attracts bees and butterflies and deer stay away. 2-3inches tall and a spread of 9-12 inches it makes a good ground cover that tolerates foot traffic. Also a good choice for garden beds, rock gardens and containers.
