Thymus pseudolanuginosus
This herb grows like a groundcover with wooly, gray-green leaves that look like silver hair from a distance. It forms tiny, delicate, pinkish-purple flowers in summer. It can tolerate light foot traffic and can be planted as a filler between stepping stones and along pathways. Sprawls over small rocks and spills over rock walls. Although it has a spicy thyme scent it is not a culinary variety. Hardy in zones 4-7.
