High levels of beta-carotene give this variety its bright orange color resulting in its name. Smooth 4-8 inch across, 11-15 ounce domed heads have great flavor. Heads will be brighter orange if leaves are not tied around the developing head allowing it to be exposed to sunlight. The tasty mild florets become a darker orange when cooked. The unique color makes it fun to grow and eat.
