This leek grows in a very straight, long, slender shape that is easy to bunch at harvest. Overlapping rows of wide, dark-green leaves form above the clean, pure white flesh of the base. It grows in a uniform, tube shape and will not form a large onion-like bulb. It is easy to grow and is disease resistant. It tastes best fresh if used within a few days of harvest. For longer storage, wrap in plastic and store in a refrigerator for 2 weeks, or up to a year in the freezer.
