This early maturing variety is more heat tolerant than most varieties and is slow to bolt. Bunching Onions do not produce bulbs, they produce tall upright 12-18” leaves with a glossy white stem the flavor is slightly pungent. Harvest greens by cutting just above soil line to promote continuous growth of the greens and allow small base to grow larger. The dark green leaves are a delicious garnish in soups or cooked dishes or can be used in place of fresh chives.
Resistance/Tolerance to basal rot and intermediate resistance to pink root rot.
