Cheyenne Arapaho

Cheyenne Arapaho peppers are named after the Native American Arapaho tribe, which is more commonly known as 'Cheyenne.' It is a mild to medium pepper and is considered a cayenne pepper variety, bul has many characteristics that make it different This variety has a larger diameter and is much longer; the walls are considerably thicker. Peppers are 8-9' long and taper to a slightly curved tip. They have a mild to moderate heat with a hint of sweetness. As the peppers mature and tum red, their flavors tend to intensify. They are pertect for frying, using raw in salads or as a garnish. They can also be dried and stored. Traditionally, they are dried and strung into 'ristras', a gartand of dried peppers that is a decorative way of storing peppers.
