This pepper originates from India and matures earlier in the season than other cayenne varieties. Dark, deep green peppers form and mature to a brilliant, glossy, bright red. The thin-walled peppers are long and slender and measure in at 4.5-5" long and ½" wide. They have about the same amount of heat as a jalapeno, but the flavor is a bit spicier, almost pungent and well-rounded. This variety is easy to grow, the strong root system helps It to grow vigorously even in tough conditions and the generous amount of foliage of the plant protects the peppers from sun scald.
