If you're not a spinach lover this long-time garden favorite may change your mind. This heirloom spinach has thick, crinkly, dark green leaves packed full of flavor, fiber, nutrients and low in calories. The leaves are tender and delicious with a robust earthy and nutty flavor and a pronounced sweetness. The flavor is richer with a tangy aftertaste, and it does not have any bitterness that other varieties have at maturity. This semi upright plant is quick growing and handles hot weather better than other varieties making it slow to bolt. Harvest when leaves are 3-6" long. Delicious eaten fresh in salads or cooked, can also be canned or frozen.
