All American Selections Honey Bear's one-pound squash are the perfect size for two people to share. Sweeter than many other acorn squash it's absolutely delicious. Chop it in half and bake with a little brown sugar or maple syrup and savor its sweet, starchy goodness. The compact bushy plant grows up to 5 feet wide and sets 3 to 5 fruits. Honey Bear outlasts other squash in the garden. It tolerates the cool, moist temperatures of fall and will continue to ripen when other squash varieties get mildew.
