This is still Better Boy but has been bred to be stronger and even better than before. It’s an improved variety that has greater fruit setting and better disease resistance. This beefsteak tomato produces firm, juicy, up to one pound bright red tomatoes with a sweeter taste than Better Boy. It’s a great slicer tomato for sandwiches, juicy enough for cooking into a sauce and good for canning. It is self-pollinating, the plant will bear fruit without any pollen from other varieties. Stake or cage for best results.
