Gold Medal Tomato

This heirloom was first introduced as Ruby Gold in 1921 and then was reintroduced as "Gold Medal" in 1970. This tomato is aptly named, the golden color is very attractive, and the flavor has earned it many awards and medals through the years. It is one of the sweetest tomatoes you will ever taste. This tomato is mostly yellow but has a blush of red on the base of its smooth skin and streaks of red through the meaty and tasty interior flesh. It has a classic heirloom appearance, it is round, has lobes and ridges. The fruits often weigh over one to two pounds.

Indeterminate.
