This petite carrot has a sweet flavor and tender texture. It’s a gourmet 3-6” by ½’ with smooth skin and a deep orange color baby carrot. It was originally developed in France for pickling and canning but has since become a garden favorite. The carrot’s blocky shape makes it ideal for growing in heavy or shallow soil and easy to pull at harvest. Carrots become course and tough if allowed to grow past maturity. Before planting, loosen the soil and add some sand and compost to keep the soil loose so it is easy for the carrots to grow. Try his fabulous and delicious carrot raw, cooked or juiced.
