Pink Lemonade

Vaccinium 'Pink Lemonade'
It is hard to call Pink Lemonade a blueberry because the berries are not blue. Tiny white, bell-shaped blossoms transform to pale green berries that slowly turn pale pink as they mature into a bright pink berry mid to late season. This is a Rabbiteye variety, a compact medium size shrub with an arching growth pattern that does not require a long cold winter. The dark glossy green leaves turn to shades of yellow and orange in the fall.

The firm berries have a sweet tangy taste form clusters of fruit that are easy to pick. It's an excellent blueberry for eating fresh or baking. Blueberry plants benefit from cross pollination, planting several bushes of this variety will result in bigger berries and a larger harvest. For best results pinch the blossoms in spring and let the plant grow and mature the first season and trim any dead or weak branches to stimulate
growth. Zones 4-9.
