Mentha requienii
Commonly called creeping mint or Corsican mint. Tiny, mat-forming, bright green, peppermint-scented foliage, and lilac-colored flowers form in summer and hug the ground. Leaves release a minty aroma when crushed or bruised. Plant in between stepping stones, the rock garden or border garden in rich, well-drained soil. Use as a groundcover or in containers. Hardy Zones 6-9.
