Lippa graveolens 'Mexican'
Mexican Oregano is more robust in flavor than Greek Oregano and pairs well with the rich or spicy flavors of Mexican and Southwest cuisine. Fragrant, small oval, toothed edge leaves grow far apart on stiff branches. In summer, tiny, fragrant, white star shaped flowers are produced on the end of branches. The lemony and strong pungent flavor hold up well to long cooking times making it perfect for chili, moles, bean, dishes and stews.
