Even the blooms are purple on this upright bush type bean plant. This hardy, strong variety is very productive with loads of dark purple 5 ½ inch long beans. At harvest time the slight curved pods are easy to spot in the green foliage.
Known for their tender texture and rich taste they are good fresh and work well for canning or freezing. Magically after a few minutes of cooking the purple color disappears and the beans turn dark green in color.
