Some say this is the sweetest and best tasting green cabbage available. I enjoy the flavor of these 3-4 pound heads. They are perfect for steaming and serving with a little butter and salt and pepper. This smaller cabbage head has better flavor and can stay in the garden longer without splitting. Cabbage is a cool season crop and is hardy to frost and light freezes.
Harvest by cutting the head at ground level as soon as it feels solid. Smaller heads may grow from the remaining leaves and stems.
