This cool season crop has pure white heads that measure 8-9” across. The plants are medium sized with a uniform growth habit. To keep cauliflower heads white and sweet tasting, tie the leaves loosely over the heads when they reach 3-5” in diameter.
Harvest the heads when they are full, but before the curds begin to separate. Cauliflower is one of the most popular vegetables in home gardens and my kids love it with butter, cream sauce, or brown buttered crumbs.
