Harvest the dark blue-green frilled leaves of this compact plant for a “one cut harvest” or cut from the outer leaves the way kale is traditionally harvested for a constant supply of leaves. The uniform, curly leaves have a great flavor and texture and are excellent for a variety of dishes. Use fresh in salads or smoothies, add to soups and stews or lightly sauté in olive oil with a little garlic and chopped onion. High in vitamins A, C and K and other nutrients. The highly ornamental leaves are a great addition to flower beds and borders.
