Tomato San Marzano

This Heirloom Italian Classic is one of the best paste tomatoes for sauces and soups.  It has good yields of large, 4 ounce red plum shaped tomatoes perfect for Italian cuisine.  The long blocky tomatoes have rich tomato flavor, firm pulp, low seed count and easy to remove skin.  The small seed cavity and dense tomato meat mean less cooking to get a tasty thick paste.
